another year older....

it's my 27th birthday today...i'm very happy being surrounded by my loved ones...though these few days had been very hectic for all of us, yet there were times for us to stay together and spend our precious time together as family....

i've been through many experiences in life for the past 27 years...those experiences made me what i am today....i owe a lot to both my parents who taught the meaning of life and how to survive in this competitive world...

as an eldest of 2 in my family, i had to set good example to my little sister who is 5 years younger than me...although i admit that i'm not a good big sis...i was the only child for 5 years before my sister was born...so, i was very much pampered by my parents...so when my sister was born, there was a big gap in our age...so, i seldom played with my sister that much... and we often quarrel due to misunderstanding...

i went to the boarding school when i was 16 and my sister much more earlier when she was 13...she's a tough girl and very independent...i spent 2 weeks crying in the boarding schoool when i first stepped my feet there...but my sister was an easy-goer....she was smarter than i am as well...she got 9A1 in her SPM and was a drum major in her band team...sometimes, we quarrelled like cats and dogs...

our family went through a journey that we never thought of...my mum was diagnosed with a Hodgkin's Lymphoma ( a lymphatic channel cancer) when i was in 2nd year medical student...she was a tough lady...i never see her cried even though it was painful dealing with the chemotherapy, hairloss and such...and when my mum was hospitalized for 1 week in every 6 weeks for chemotherapy, my dad stayed at home alone as both of us in campus and hostel....so he took care of himself and my mum very well...

at that time, i broke off with my teenage boyfriend...so, i cried at her hospital bed-side...my mum was the one comforted me and told me "don't worry, let's nature takes it course.." ....she wrote me a letter of encouragement that it's not the end of the world....maybe it's easier for her to write it down than saying it to me....with her prayer, 1 and 1/2 later i fall in love with me husband now...

these are some of my experiences in life that made me strong and how i treasure my family most....i was 25 when i gave birth to my dear Jihan and my mum, dad and my hubby were always there to support me all the way through...it's just the beginning of my journey and there's yet to come...
for me, nothing is more valuable than my family...i'm from a small family so it's more easier to get on hold of everybody...and we support each other well...it's going to be my parents' 28th wedding anniversary on 21st July soon...may Allah bless all of us...
