as promised, here's the entry...overall it was a very quality time with the whole family...we went up via the Simpang Pulai road and the journey was a smooth one....we arrived at 2 pm and checked in at the Strawberry Park Resort (booked at discounted rate)...a comfy 3+1 bedrooms apartment....it was quite cold, not like our previous visit...everybody took out their sweaters to cover themselves...but my little Jihan didn't even bother...
then off we went to the Boh's Tea Plantation near Tanah Rata...the place was 6km from the main road...and the road was very small and quite winding....the scenery was breathtaking (but i prefer the Bharat's Tea Plantation near Tringkap)...we had scrumptious afternoon tea, but my little adorable Jihan opted for an ice cream (in such weather..??!!??) we also bought some teabags home and hubby took a lot of photos there...
we also visited a strawberry farm nearby the resort....wan bought a lot of cactus and my maid bought a long sleeve, thick t-shirt...she couldn't stand the cold...then me, hubby, Jihan and my sister, went strolling the resort area...quite a very picturesque and lovely place to stay at...
everybody was very hungry, so we went to have our steamboat dinner at the resort's restaurant....we really ate BIG that night!!! at the end of the day, we were so, so full!!!!
the next day, i got up early and pulled my hubby out of the bed for a morning walk (feeling guilty for eating too much the previous night)....a serene walk, we went down and up the hill, capturing every nature's moment to cherish.... and it was quite chill ( i experienced the similar feelings when i was doing cross-country running in the autumn when i was in Manchester)....
soon, we got ready and off we went to Kea Farm to buy fruits and vegetables and stuffs....lucky there weren't many people yet...i think my Jihan was feeling cold but she didn't tell us...we saw her rigid face and we stopped by at the stall selling t-shirts and bought Jihan a long sleeve t-shirt with big strawberry printed on it....
we went up the strawberry farm again (i was wearing a comfy 2 inch Snowfly sandal but still had my left knee aching while going down the hill) and up the cactus valley...the car boots were full of stuff we bought...we arrived back at the resort at almost 12 noon, just in time to check out....
atok wanted to try the Tapah road going back to KL....from Tanah Rata to Ringlet, the journey was quite ok...but after Ringlet, the nightmares begun...a whole stretch of 30-40km very winding road indeed....hubby said, he soon will get bi triceps and biceps if he ever uses this road again...i was feeling nauseaus and giddy, luckily my Jihan was fast asleep....we passed through lots of Orang Asli settlement and Lata Iskandar, a very cooling waterfall...a lot of landslide as well...
at the end of the winding road, atok's car stopped twice as my sister felt like throwing up....it's a totally NO-NO again for this Tapah Road to Cameron Highlands...
so, our next weekend getaway is going to be Port Dickson next month with wan tam's family....
