another cupcakes project....

i made some cupcakes for Dr GG and my aunt, MakTam, and as usual Jihan loves being at our lovely home in Bukit Mahkota as she can run around at the big house....

Jihan loves to disturb me when i iced the cake...she loves looking at the various colours and at the end she will pretend blowing the candles on the cupcakes....

another hectic weekend...

yeah, this time we were off to Cameron Highlands...i had to attend a Managing Cardiovasular Risk Workshop there...i brought my dear hubby and Jihan along as this workshop is fully sponsored by Astra Zeneca, so we can have a "free" holiday at The Equatorial ...please believe me that this is my FIRST time to Cameron Highlands...(please don't laugh at me....)

we took the Simpang Pulai route instead of the usual Tapah way...people said that this route is less winding...for me, it was ok...no motion sickness...(which was good!) we stopped by at a strawberry/vegetables/flower farm and had an afternoon tea at the Cameron Valley Tea Shop...

after check-in, i started attending the workshop while my 2 loved ones enjoying the cozy room...(but iwe don't like the bathroom, it wasn't Muslim friendly - no water hose to wash after you pee)

anyway, the atmosphere was good...it was still cold up there...some people said that Cameron is not that cold anymore...we went down to Brinchang town and it was very busy indeed as there was a pasar malam there....

before going back the next day (after i finished my conference in the afternoon), we strolled along the weekend market at Kea Farm and bought vegetables and strawberries...i was so thrilled shopping for the fresh veggies...16 packets for RM 10...3 medium packets of strawberries for RM 10...1 bunch of corns (about 10 sticks) for RM 10...wahhhhh!!!! and we bought some tea as well including the strawberry tea...

we went back the Simpang Pulai way as well...it was quite hectic travelling but was worth it....i baked some fresh strawberry tartlets and it came out nice...

Jihan enjoyed herself so much...she loves eating the strawberry....she behaved quite well but sometimes would just throw her tantrum especially when we were trying to have our meals...

i think Jihan had a slight motion sickness when we went up there...she was sitting in her carseat quietly, then suddenly she cried....i took her out of the carseat and cuddle her comfortly...then she became calm again...

a very busy weekend...

my dad invited a few of his friends and our close relatives for a lunch yesterday....my dear Jihan really enjoyed herself as many kids were there, especially kak Sofea, abang Ikmal and baby Adam....the day before that, i baked quite a number of cupcakes to entertain the guests...

Jihan also loved eating all sort of food including roti jala, rice with chicken curry and watermelon, not forgetting air sirap limau...

she was running around playing with the other kids until she was exhausted....

later in the evening, she had a tantrum and suddenly vomitted...she felt better after she vomitted out....and continued playing around...

she had another 2 episodes of vomiting later that night, probably it was due to a lot of phlegm...early in the morning today, she had a temperature and i did a sponging on her, but as usual she really hates it..!!!

then i gave her syrup PCM, at first, she refused but after i was done with it, she has happily sitting in front of the TV watching her favorite shows...

even though she has quite a temperature today, she is still an active kid...

Blue.....

i was baking a chocolate cake today...as usual, my little helper would stay in the kitchen to "help" me out.... i was busy baking the cake, suddenly i heard a crash.... !

oooh ooooooo..... my little helper just dropped a small bottle of food colouring on the floor....!! the floor was covered with blue liquid and Jihan's feet were also blue....Jihan was shocked and scared and cried....

papa washed her feet but the colour won't come out completely...she pretended become limping as if her feet were injured....

P/S: the cake that i baked on that day...

splash..splash..i'm absolutely tanned...

we had a good time at Tanjung Bidara...Jihan and hubby had a solid 3-hours splashing in the not-so-clean swimming pool...

it was hot...but our little girl just refused to come out of the pool earlier...she loved making friends aith the other children..

after 3 hours, Jihan voluntarily opted to go out of the pool after seeing her fingers all crumpled and shrunk...

she slept for an hour after that, feeling exhausted...and just look at her body...it was very tanned and flushed...

i bought her a vitamin E cream to apply onto her body to prevent peeling off the skin...so far, so good...

she kept telling people about her wonderful experience in the pool...more picts at our fotopages..

we are going to Malacca (Tanjung Bidara) for my department family day...managed to make lovely vanilla custard cupcakes and chocolate chocolate chips cupcakes...

a healthy start (part 2)

this is a progress from the part 1...i've begin to sweat out today together with my mum...we did a 40 minutes workout and it was hard enough to make us sweat...and now i started feeling the aching here and there...i bought a Kathy Smith's CD few days ago to get started and it was worth buying it...

i was inspired by hliza...and we have the same goal which is to tone our body and to reduce our weight!!! at the same time to remain healthy....nowadays, i also reduce my food intake especially at night...



so, i hope i can maintain the current lifestyle and achieve my goal...Yeah!!!

ooopsss...i "spoilt" your "adik"...!

a memory of "adik"..

yesterday, my Jihan was playing with her "adik"... she was being rather naughty yesterday...she went up the coffee table with her "adik" and was dancing and jumping up there with her "adik".....i feared that she might fall from the table, so i put away the table inside the room...she was upset and threw a tantrum but it subsided after a while...

an hour later, i brought the table back to the living hall...remembered what she did before, she got her "adik" and went up the table again...i took the "adik" from her and suddenly, "psssssssssssssss....." and the "adik" went floppy and flat....

oooh ooo.....her "adik" burst and the air went out...there's no other way to mend it...my Jihan's face showed a little sadness she was startled seeing her "adik" deflated....i was feeling guilty for ruining and spoiling her "adik" and said, "Jihan, mama sorry ok....adik dah rosak...esok kita beli lain..." she seemed to understand and keep her "adik" at a safe place...

today, i went out with my hubby to midvalley...we went to buy a wedding gift and at the same time went looking for Jihan's "adik"..unfortunately, we could't find a new "adik" for Jihan...there were other similar stuffs but they were without hands....so, we decided not to buy any...

pity Jihan...maybe we'll get new, real adik for Jihan soon ; ).....

my little one's update...

Jihan Qaisara is already 2 years and 2 months old....she is getting smarter each day...

her recent achievements are:

• she is able to answer if people ask her, "what is your name..?"...and she will answer, "Jian...", "Jihan what...?", "Jian Sheqara...." HAHAHAHAHA...it's Jihan Qaisara but she twists it to Sheqara


• she loves to follow us when we pray...she will stand beside us and immitate what we do...this is a very good exposure and hopefully she will grow up and become a good muslimah...


• her vocabs keep increasing each day and she can talk quite good now...


• she has been very good when her papa is outstation in Singapore...now, that's mama's girl...but, wait till papa comes home in a little while..she will show her true colours with her papa...

miss you...

my dear hubby is going to Singapore today for the 3rd Asia Autoimmunity Forum...it's only for 3 days and 2 nights but i feel that it's gonna be a long one...i'm already missing him, even though i have yet to send him to the ERL station...and i'm sure my dear Jihan will also miss her papa so much too...she has been clinging to my hubby all day long today...

anyway, i'm going to Cameron Highlands twice next month for work purposes but i'll bringing my 2 hunny bunny along...

our senior in medical school passed away yesterday due to an accident in Kuantan....he was on the way back from sending his wife at Sg Buloh for delivery of their 2nd baby...the car driven by his brother skidded after the tyre exploded...his brother escaped unhurt and their mother suffered from a broken arm...(full news in Berita Harian 26th July 2007)

a new skill...

i'm thankful for being blessed with the skills and creativity (and the time and the will) to create these cute cupcakes...i had the opportunity to learn the techniques from the expert, Ayuliana and it was a very awesome and priceless hands-on experience...currently, i'm able to make beautiful flowers to put on the cute cupcakes...

at first, i learnt to decorate the cupcakes through books and internet...my first experience was a disaster (anyway, the cupcakes finished in 3 days..)..i used the normal sugar instead of icing sugar... it got better when i tried the next time...

my family, particularly my hubby and Jihan are so impress with my skills...and i'm so proud to be able to serve my loved ones with a pleasant food presentation....

a healthy start....

yeah!!! i'm supposed to be energetic and conform to the rule of "exercise on most of the days of the week" to stay healthy and reduce ther risk of morbidity in later life....but it is not always easy to stick that rule...i will always have something to do or just too lazy to change my outfit when i intend to walk or jog in the park or go to my hospital gym that i pay for only RM 20 for my whole life as long as i am still the staff there...

i need to be strong and fight this laziness inside me....i need to show a good example to my patients and my family (especially my daughter) as this is the time to socialize with others and take a good fresh air in the park besides getting the benefits of exercising....



i went to follow my dad to his family day today...managed to follow the aerobic session (eventhough it was already towards the end of it...) my daughter enjoyed herself playing and ruuning around the park....



it's good to exercise on most of the days of the week but if it is not possible, try at least 3 times per week, 30-45 minutes each session....when you briskwalk or jog, it doesn't matter the distance but you need do it continuously for 30-45 minutes...and gradually increase the frequency and intensity over time...

Transformers....8 random things about my Jihan

oh, i just got back from watching Transformers at TGV with my hubby and my sister (oo, we have to leave Jihan behind..it's too hostile for her to watch Transformers at this age..)..it was a full house, we got to seat at the very front row...! phew...neck pain....! anyway, i would say it was superb movie...worth watching it...

yeah, i was tagged by drNo ...it was supposed to be 8 random things about me but i can't think about it right now...so, instead i'll write about 8 random things about my lovely Jihan:

• when she was born, the first thing that really caught my attention when my obs put her on my belly, was her so big eyes...!!!! (like alien!) hahahaha....


• she was an easy baby....she would sleep throuhout the night, only woke up once to breastfeed....(phew...!)


• she hardly cry when she was a baby....even my neighbours didn't realize that i've given birth because our house was sooooo quite....now, she is so talkative...!!


• i've stopped breastfeeding her when she was 6 months...i did not offer her my breast at all because i was afraid that she might want to breastfeed back whereas at that time my milk supply was almost nil....some time later when i tried to offer her my breast, she would "yucksss" at it.... : (


• we bought her a lot of toys during her younger days but what caught her attention were the toys wrapper, plastic bags and papers....duuuhhhhh....!


• she was smiley baby even up till now...when she wakes up from sleep, the first thing she would do is to throw her beautiful, charming smile....very seldom she would throw her tantrum....


• she is so proud of her smooth, silky hair....she will never let anybody touch her hair...it's a miracle that she'll let us to tie her hair....


• she has a great bond with her papa....she will want her papa to do everything for her....but when papa is not around, then she'll turn to mama.... ; )

well, that's just a bit about my little one...you need to meet her personally then you'll be charmed by her characters...
